Visit the Hermitage of San Fructuoso and its medieval frescoes

Bierge is an ancient village—very ancient indeed! The Hermitage of San Fructuoso houses a treasure: medieval frescoes that you can admire with the help of an audio guide available at the village shop. For more information: turismosomontano.es/fr/

Visit the La Abella organic cosmetics workshop

Our friend Alba creates excellent organic cosmetics using local ingredients; don’t hesitate to pay her a visit—you can see the laboratory, and she will explain the production process.

Fascinating workshops are occasionally held there, where you can learn to make your own remedies, products, soaps, creams, etc.

Visit the olive oil mill and enjoy a tasting

The Ferrer family has run the Bierge mill since 1959. Three generations have dedicated themselves to producing olive oil within the Sierra y Cañones de Guara Natural Park, helping to preserve centuries-old olive trees.

You can visit the mill and taste the oils produced in Bierge.

Try the artisanal ice cream from Bierge’s “El Arte” (available at the Casa Atuel bar, of course!)

We are lucky enough to have one of the region’s best ice cream makers.

You can enjoy some of their ice creams at the Casa Atuel bar, but it is also possible to arrange a guided tour of the workshop.

Swimming at the Presa de Bierge (dam)

The “Presa de Bierge” swimming area is renowned as a paradise for swimmers, featuring a majestic waterfall. Due to its immense popularity, access to the swimming area has to be regulated and limited from June 15 to September 15. During this period, there is a fee for access to the “Salto” (waterfall pool), subject to availability (maximum 250 people). You can find more information here: turismosomontano.es

Municipal swimming pool

Bierge also has a municipal swimming pool open from July 1 to August 31. It’s a great place to cool off, relax on the large lawn, and meet the local villagers.
